Volunteer

Over the last 32 years, the LCFC and its team of medical and community volunteers have provided medical access to thousands of people without insurance. The backbone of the clinic is the volunteers. The biggest environmental threat facing free clinics today is continued decline in professional medical volunteers. As the traditional family practice declines, and more and more providers are employed by large corporations, available time to give becomes squeezed. Demands placed on productivity and profit margin make for longer hours at places of employment for many potential medical volunteer recruits. If volunteers were not here to support us, we would not be in the community. The Clinic is always looking for volunteers. Along with volunteer medical professionals, we also seek assistance with community relations, marketing, accounting, education, fundraising and other tasks. Contact the Clinic at 440-277-6641 if you have any questions.
